On the afternoon of August 26, Guizhou University held its Education and Teaching Work Meeting for the new semester. The meeting was attended by university leaders and representatives from relative offices and colleges.
Party Secretary Yang Wei discussed the importance of quality culture in improving undergraduate education and advancing moral education initiatives. She emphasized the need for clear standards, accountability, and coordination to ensure high-quality teaching and learning. Yang Wei stressed the role of faculty in fostering a strong academic environment and highlighted the need to continue building the university’s quality culture.
President Song Baoan noted that building a strong teaching and learning environment is a long-term, strategic goal. He called for consistent efforts to improve teaching, enhance management systems, and ensure continuous improvement with a student-centered approach.
Luo Changjiang, leader of the High-Quality Oversight Team. reported on recent teaching evaluations, and representatives from the Academic Affairs Office, Student Affairs Office, Admissions and Employment Office, and International Exchange Office provided updates on their respective work. Faculty from several departments, including the College of Foreign Languages, College of Mathematics, and College of Physical Education, also shared their plans for the semester.
